Yesterday's blizzard brought the most magical white snow, I had to run out into it and get a few shots of my favorite wintry Free People cardigan. Patterned cardigans are somewhat of my trademark, I love them so much because you can stay cozy while also steering clear of the dreaded black-coat monotony. In my opinion, no one does patterned cardis better than Free People! I listed a few of my current favorites below.

Braid-y Bunch

 Since I am fairly new to the midwest, my outerwear collection is lacking big time. I find it hard to mix things up in the winter, when all that anyone sees me in 90% of the time is a big black coat in a sea of other black coats. Making my coat collection a little more interesting is a definite goal this winter. In the meantime, I've decided that hair can be an effective accessory as well! This three-part braid I found from the amazing Amber over on barefootblonde.com definitely does the trick to amp up my otherwise basic winter outfit.
